Another Barcelona star reveals his Julián Alvarez wish

Football News

Yet another member of the first-team setup at La Liga giants Barcelona has this week revealed his hope that the club will ultimately land Julián Alvarez this summer.

The latest Blaugrana star to endorse the move? Pedri.

Frontman Alvarez has of course long emerged as the leading target to replace the outgoing Robert Lewandowski in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad.

Taking into account all of his age, ability and fit in the Blaugrana philosophy, Deco and co. have therefore kicked into gear efforts to bring the Argentine to Catalunya’s capital for next season.

The likes of Gavi and Marc Bernal have already made clear that they would love to call Alvarez a teammate at club level before the summer is out.

And as alluded to above, this week, such Barca stars have been joined by none other than Pedri.

Drawn on the name of the talented attacker during an interview with RTVE (as cited by Fabrizio Romano), midfielder Pedri admitted:

“I love Julián Álvarez. I hope he joins Barcelona, I hope the deal happens. He’s among the best players and we want the best at Barça.”
