A Barcelona player currently on loan has continued to impress this season, demonstrating his individual form.
The player in focus is Ansu Fati.
Ansu departed Barcelona last summer, having been informed that he was not part of new manager Hansi Flick’s plans.
The Spanish international then signed a contract with Ligue 1 club AS Monaco, extending through the summer of 2026.
His time in France, despite some injury setbacks, has largely been a success.
On Saturday, Ansu was brought on as a substitute when Monaco faced Metz in a league match.
As the game entered injury time, the 23-year-old proved to be the decisive player.
Receiving a low pass from the left flank, Ansu expertly controlled the ball before scoring the winning goal in Monaco’s 2-1 victory.
This goal brought his Ligue 1 goal tally for the season to 10, and 11 in all competitions.
A permanent transfer to AS Monaco this summer is starting to appear increasingly probable for Ansu.
