Real Madrid’s seasoned defender, Dani Carvajal, arranged a farewell gathering on Wednesday as his imminent departure from the club approaches. However, manager Álvaro Arbeloa was conspicuously absent from the guest list.
The veteran fullback Carvajal is set to conclude his illustrious and trophy-filled tenure with Real Madrid this summer. At 34 years old, the Spanish international was not offered a contract extension as his current deal nears its expiration.
As a tumultuous season at Valdebebas draws to a close, Carvajal decided to treat his teammates to a group dinner on Wednesday evening. Several staff members were also extended invitations.
As previously mentioned, Real Madrid’s interim manager, Álvaro Arbeloa, was not among those requested to attend. According to The Athletic, Carvajal chose not to include his interim manager in his farewell festivities, a decision seemingly influenced by a reportedly less-than-ideal relationship between the two.
