Jan Virgili, a promising young talent who previously played for Barcelona, recently expressed his willingness to consider a return to the Spotify Camp Nou.
The winger made a permanent move away from Barcelona last summer, joining RCD Mallorca. This transfer came as his first-team opportunities in Catalonia diminished, while interest from other La Liga clubs grew for the 19-year-old’s signature.
Since his arrival at Son Moix, Virgili’s time at Mallorca has been largely positive. Operating from the left flank, the youngster has showcased numerous flashes of his explosive potential, contributing an impressive six assists in La Liga this season.
His strong performances have fueled speculation that Barcelona is closely monitoring his progress, especially given that the Catalan giants still retain 50% of the attacker’s playing rights.
During a recent interview with Diario Sport, Virgili was directly asked about the possibility of rejoining the Blaugrana. The Spaniard did not hesitate in admitting his strong inclination:
“Well, if Barça called me, it would be hard to say no…”
