Jamal Musiala fit to play for Bayern Munich against Benfica at FIFA Club World Cup

Jamal Musiala is set to be available for Bayern Munich`s final FIFA Club World Cup Group C match against Benfica on Tuesday. The young midfielder had suffered a knock during the team`s previous game on Friday, a 2-1 victory over Argentinian opposition that secured Bayern`s spot in the round of 16 under coach Vincent Kompany.

Musiala was introduced in the second half of Friday`s match but was substituted again approximately 25 minutes later due to the injury.

Following medical attention on the pitch, he took a rest day on Saturday at Bayern`s training base in Florida.

However, the attacker successfully completed a full training session on Sunday morning. This indicates he is ready as Kompany`s side prepares to face Benfica in Charlotte, North Carolina, with Bayern aiming for a third consecutive win to finish as group leaders.

Defender Minjae Kim, who also sustained a minor knock, participated in part of the Sunday training session.
