Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé recently shared his thoughts on his team’s prospects in the Champions League, specifically regarding their upcoming challenge against Bayern Munich.
Los Blancos are fresh off eliminating Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City from Europe’s premier club competition in a convincing display. Across the two legs of the tie, Real Madrid found the net five times against the Premier League giants.
Their reward for a job well done, however, was a demanding quarter-final draw against Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. Bayern is widely regarded as one of the top contenders for the trophy this season, currently showcasing stellar form.
In a recent interview with Telefoot (as reported by Fabrizio Romano), Mbappé was asked about Real Madrid’s chances against Vincent Kompany’s squad. The French international’s reply exuded confidence:
“Bayern are probably the most in-form team in Europe… But if there’s a team that can beat them, it’s Real Madrid.”
