This conservative route, however, has not yielded the anticipated results. According to a report from Diario Sport, "At Barça, they feel a point has been reached where conservative recovery is not delivering the expected outcomes."
This ongoing situation has led to considerable 'anger' and 'discontent' within the club's hierarchy. De Jong, to date, has resisted Barcelona's strong recommendation for him to undergo surgery.
