A Barcelona player returning from a loan spell with La Liga champions is eager to compete for a spot in Hansi Flick's squad for the 2026/27 season.
That player is Héctor Fort.
Defender Fort has just concluded a temporary stint away from Barcelona, playing for their La Liga rivals, Elche. His time in Alicante was significantly affected by injuries, limiting Fort to only 17 appearances in total.
Despite limited playing time, the adaptable full-back continued to demonstrate his undeniable abilities, particularly in attacking plays. Fort managed to be directly involved in five goals while playing for Elche.
The 19-year-old is reportedly hopeful that these performances will serve as a catalyst for his career to truly flourish back at the Spotify Camp Nou.
