Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal has publicly shared a message of support for his teammate and fellow Spaniard, Fermín López, on social media.
This gesture comes in the wake of a challenging period for López.
Fermín López was in the starting lineup for Barcelona’s La Liga match against Real Betis on Sunday. However, at halftime, the 23-year-old was substituted due to an injury.
It was later confirmed that López sustained a fractured bone in his right foot, requiring surgery and consequently ruling him out of the World Cup.
Understandably, the midfielder is likely experiencing significant disappointment.
In an effort to lift his friend’s spirits, Lamine Yamal took to his official Instagram account to post a supportive message.
The 18-year-old wrote: “We will do it for you, my warrior.”
