Hamburg’s promising 19-year-old defender, Luka Vuskovic, is reportedly drawing significant attention from top Premier League clubs, specifically Liverpool and Chelsea. The young Croatian has been a standout performer for HSV this season, playing a crucial role as they strive to maintain their Bundesliga status.
Despite his expressed desire to eventually play alongside his brother Mario, who is set to return to Hamburg after his doping ban concludes, the club’s chances of retaining Luka Vuskovic appear slim.
Hamburg’s Prospects of Retaining Vuskovic Diminish
A key factor in Vuskovic’s future lies with his parent club, Tottenham. The North London side must decide whether to integrate him into their first-team plans next season. However, Vuskovic is reportedly dissatisfied with Tottenham’s previous lack of faith, particularly their decision to send him out on loan last summer instead of offering him a senior opportunity.
Beyond Tottenham, some of Europe’s football giants are closely monitoring the defender. While Barcelona’s interest in Vuskovic has been noted previously, Liverpool is now reportedly considering him as a potential option, especially if Ibrahima Konate departs upon his contract expiry. Chelsea has also registered their interest in the talented teenager.
