Premier League giants Manchester City have identified a key player in Girona’s midfield as a potential transfer target for the upcoming summer window. The Sky Blues are closely monitoring the progress of Azzedine Ounahi.
Ounahi, a versatile midfielder, is currently enjoying an impressive individual season. Despite a period on the sidelines due to injury, the Moroccan international has been a pivotal figure for Girona in La Liga, featuring in 18 appearances.
His exceptional technical skills have been evident as Ounahi has performed admirably at the heart of a struggling Girona side, contributing with five goals and three assists. These impressive performances have not gone unnoticed in the Premier League.
According to a report from El Chiringuito TV, Manchester City, under Pep Guardiola, are considering Ounahi as a potential replacement for Bernardo Silva, who is expected to depart in the summer. The title contenders are reportedly “very interested” in the 26-year-old, whose contract with Girona includes a release clause of €20 million.
