Career Path
Born in Bremen, the tall (6`6″) forward initially showed his potential at local side TS Woltmershausen, where he also played handball. Werder Bremen quickly signed the agile young attacker. He progressed quickly through Werder`s youth teams and was soon training with the senior squad and included in matchday rosters.
A senior debut was the next logical step. At just 17, he started a Bundesliga match away to Augsburg during the 2019/20 season, becoming Werder Bremen`s youngest-ever senior debutant.
His reputation grew internationally alongside his club career. After representing Germany at the U16 level, he featured in the UEFA European U17 Championships. Promotions to the U20s and U21s followed. He played a crucial part in Germany qualifying for the 2025 U21 Euro final tournament, scoring four goals and providing three assists. He also netted a hat-trick in a 3-1 U21 friendly win against Spain in March 2025.
In 2022, he gained valuable experience on loan at third-tier club Elversberg, making 25 starts and scoring 10 goals as they achieved promotion to Bundesliga 2. His efforts earned him the `3. Liga Player of the Season` award. He returned to Werder for the subsequent campaign, scoring twice in 30 Bundesliga appearances in what would be his last season at the Weserstadion.
He then made a move to Stuttgart and quickly adapted to his new club. He scored in all five DFB Cup games he started en route to winning the final. In the 2024/25 Bundesliga season, he contributed 12 goals. Highlights included a vital brace in the 3-2 victory over Union Berlin on Matchday 13, a brilliant solo goal against Wolfsburg on Matchday 22, and scoring in each of the final three league matches of the season.
His outstanding form led to a first senior international call-up from Julian Nagelsmann for the UEFA Nations League finals. At the same time, he was selected for the Germany U21 squad for the European Championships in June 2025, where he made an immediate impact by scoring another hat-trick in the opening game against Slovenia.

Woltemade`s first three Bundesliga goals for Stuttgart were all scored after coming off the bench for coach Sebastian Hoeneß. His brace against Union Berlin came from his first two shots in that specific match.
