Real Madrid star excited to play under ‘father’ José Mourinho

Football News

Real Madrid star Antonio Rüdiger has this week turned heads, courtesy of his description of incoming manager José Mourinho.

This comes after the German referred to his new headmaster as a ‘father’.

Mourinho is of course fresh off securing a return to Spain’s capital, after being chosen as the tactician to lead Real Madrid into a new and potentially prosperous new era.

The Portuguese has long set about reinforcing the squad set to be at his disposal at the Bernabéu, with three new defenders having already been secured this summer.

Nevertheless expected to play a central role under Mou’s watch next season, though, is the aforementioned Antonio Rüdiger.

Speaking during an appearance in front of the media this week, the former Chelsea stopper was therefore drawn on the name of his new head coach.

And Rüdiger went on to explain:

“José Mourinho to Real Madrid? Well, first let’s focus on the World Cup …and then I can think about my FATHER!”
