A key player in Real Madrid’s midfield is expected to make a comeback to the starting lineup for Wednesday night’s continental fixture.
The player in focus is none other than Jude Bellingham.
England’s international, Bellingham, had to observe from the sidelines during the initial stages of Real Madrid’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Bayern Munich last week.
This situation arose following a prolonged period of recovery from injury for the former Borussia Dortmund star.
Bellingham made his return to the starting XI this past weekend in a La Liga match against Girona, marking his first start since early February.
Indications from media reports on Monday suggest that this will be swiftly followed by another starting appearance for the 22-year-old on Wednesday evening.
According to a report from Marca, with Aurélien Tchouaméni suspended:
“The Girona game served as a dress rehearsal for the Allianz Arena. It’s clear that Bellingham will start against Bayern Munich.”
