Barcelona’s star forward, Robert Lewandowski, has provided a fresh update on his situation at the club, amidst ongoing speculation regarding his future.
As the current football season draws to a close, Lewandowski’s contract with Barcelona is approaching its expiration this summer, with no agreement yet reached between the parties concerning a potential renewal.
Despite the uncertainty, the former Bayern Munich goalscorer remains a crucial component of the team’s attack. This season, he has demonstrated his continued importance by scoring 16 goals and providing three assists across 37 appearances.
Media reports have consistently suggested that a one-year extension with the Catalan giants remains a strong possibility.
Upon departing for international duty, the 37-year-old was once again pressed by the media about his future at Camp Nou.
Lewandowski responded by stating: “Nothing has changed regarding my contract with Barcelona. I’ll have the time to sit down and think about the future and my options.”
