VfB Stuttgart CEO Alexander Wehrle has stated that German forward Nick Woltemade is set to stay at the club for the 2025/26 season.
The 23-year-old Woltemade had a remarkable first season with Stuttgart, netting 12 goals in the Bundesliga and adding five more as Die Schwaben secured the DFB Cup title.
Following his excellent form, which earned him his first senior Germany call-ups for the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League Final Four, the ex-Werder Bremen attacker has also been instrumental in the Germany U21s reaching the Euro semi-finals. He leads the tournament with four goals in three matches and has provided three assists.

With his goal-scoring prowess attracting attention, Wehrle firmly stated that their key player is not leaving. “We are entering the new season with Nick. That`s the definitive position,” the Stuttgart CEO confirmed.
However, Wehrle acknowledged that a future transfer isn`t entirely out of the question, provided the circumstances are suitable for all parties involved. He commented, “Every club, with the exception of Bayern [Munich], would consider a transfer if a particular valuation is met. This holds true for us too. We maintain continuous communication, including with Nick.”
Woltemade, who arrived at Stuttgart from Bremen last summer, holds a contract with the three-time Bundesliga winners that runs until June 30, 2028.
