VfB Stuttgart has officially announced the signing of Noah Darvich from Barcelona. The 18-year-old midfielder has joined the German club on a contract valid until the summer of 2029.
The player, born in Freiburg, is returning to Germany after spending two years in Spain with the Catalan club. He had previously progressed through the youth ranks of his hometown team.
Commenting on the transfer, Stuttgart`s sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth stated:
We are delighted to have signed Noah Darvich. Noah is one of the absolute top talents in his age group and is already performing at a high level. Furthermore, we see significant development potential in him, not least due to his young age, so we are confident that Noah will have a very positive career path in the VfB jersey.
Darvich also shared his thoughts on the move:
I`m delighted that the move to VfB and thus to such a special club worked out. Even during my time at Barcelona, I regularly watched the Bundesliga and followed VfB`s remarkable journey. Now I want to settle in quickly, get to know my teammates, and simply work hard to develop further at VfB and be successful with the club.
During his time with Barcelona`s second team, Darvich made 46 appearances and scored one goal. He is a prominent Germany youth international, having played 41 times for his country`s youth sides and captained the U17 team to victories in both the UEFA European Championship and the FIFA World Cup in 2023.
Darvich represents Stuttgart`s second acquisition of the summer transfer window, following Lorenz Assignon. Both players could potentially make their debut for the club in the Supercup final against Bayern Munich on August 16, which is scheduled as Stuttgart`s first competitive match of the 2025/26 season.
