Bayern Munich director Uli Hoeness has taken a swipe at Spanish champions Barcelona amidst renewed speculation linking striker Harry Kane with a move to the Camp Nou.
Barcelona are reportedly in the market for a new centre-forward for the upcoming season, with Robert Lewandowski expected to depart on a free transfer. Harry Kane, who has been rumoured to be a potential target for Barcelona in the past, has once again emerged as a prominent name in Spanish media reports.
However, recent comments from Bayern Munich suggest that Barcelona fans should temper their expectations regarding the Englishman’s potential arrival in Catalonia.
Uli Hoeness confirmed Kane’s commitment to Bayern and made a pointed remark about Barcelona’s financial situation:
“Kane is one of the best transfers we’ve ever made, and he’s staying. Barcelona have no money anyway.”
