David Herold, a 23-year-old left-back from Karlsruher SC, is a key target. He has a release clause estimated between €3.5-4m. With his contract set to expire in 2027, this transfer window represents KSC's last significant opportunity to monetize his sale. Herold has impressed with 26 appearances and five assists for the eighth-placed 2.Bundesliga club.
