New details have emerged regarding the financial arrangements for Marc-André ter Stegen's upcoming departure from Barcelona. It is understood that the Catalan club will bear almost the entire cost of the German goalkeeper's wages during his absence.

Ter Stegen's move from Camp Nou is expected to be officially announced imminently. After weeks of discussions between his representatives, Barcelona, and Dutch club Ajax, an agreement was reached this week.

The 34-year-old goalkeeper has already left Hansi Flick's training camp in England to travel to Amsterdam, where he is set to undergo a medical and sign a one-year loan contract.

While Flick and his coaching staff will likely be relieved to finalize this matter, Barcelona's management has had to agree to a financially challenging arrangement.

According to a report from RAC1: "Ter Stegen's departure is imminent. The tax issues concerning his salary have been resolved, and the loan to Ajax has been finalized. Barça will pay 90% of his wages."
