La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid is seriously contemplating allowing a first-team player to leave on loan this summer. The player in focus is Franco Mastantuono.
Mastantuono joined the Spanish giants last summer from River Plate in a significant transfer. He initially showed glimpses of his considerable talent, particularly on the right wing.
However, as the season progressed, Mastantuono’s performances faced increased scrutiny, with concerns raised about his link-up play, finishing, and other aspects of his game. Coupled with recent fitness issues, the 18-year-old’s debut season in Spain has unfortunately not gone as planned.
These challenges might lead to a swift departure from the Bernabéu for Mastantuono. According to a report from Marca, Real Madrid is now seriously considering a scenario that previously seemed unlikely: sending him out on loan with the hope that he will return as a more developed player.
Real Madrid has been encouraged by Endrick’s return to form during his loan spell in France with Lyon, and this success has led them to consider a similar loan arrangement for Mastantuono in the coming months.
