Real Madrid is anticipating another financial injection thanks to a transfer negotiation involving their La Liga rivals, Elche. The club stands to benefit from the impending move of striker Álvaro Rodríguez to the English Premier League.
Álvaro Rodríguez is reportedly on the verge of transferring to Bournemouth. The 21-year-old forward had a standout season in 2025/26, becoming a key player for Elche and registering an impressive 12 goal contributions in La Liga. His performance caught the attention of Premier League clubs, with Bournemouth long rumored to be interested.
Reports suggest that Bournemouth is in advanced negotiations to sign Rodríguez from Elche. The potential deal is valued at €30 million, comprising a €25 million fixed fee and an additional €5 million in bonuses. The Real Madrid academy graduate is reportedly close to agreeing to a five-year contract.
However, Elche will be obligated to transfer half of the transfer fee to Real Madrid. This is due to a sell-on clause that was part of the agreement when Rodríguez joined Elche last summer. Consequently, Real Madrid is set to receive an initial €12.5 million from this transfer.
