Robert Lewandowski, the departing Barcelona star, has finalized a contract agreement with his next club. The veteran forward is set to join Chicago Fire for the upcoming seasons.
It has been widely known that Lewandowski would be leaving Barcelona this summer, as the club decided not to extend his contract. With his 39th birthday approaching later this year, Lewandowski was rumored to be considering moves to clubs outside of Europe.
This past week, one of these suitors successfully negotiated a deal with the former Bayern Munich player and his representatives. According to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, the Polish striker has agreed to terms with Chicago Fire after visiting the city and club two weeks prior. Lewandowski is expected to sign his contract early next week, preparing for a new chapter in Major League Soccer (MLS).
