Ricken elaborated on a meeting held shortly after Schlotterbeck's return from international duty: "We sat down together immediately on Monday, just Nico and me, without his agent. It was clear that our relationship of trust remains completely intact." Ricken emphasized Schlotterbeck's passion for the club and expressed optimism for future negotiations. "We won't delay scheduling the next meeting. Nico has his expectations, and the club has its conditions. I'm approaching these talks with an optimistic mindset. Nico appeared very open and engaged."
