Elche manager Eder Sarabia has announced his immediate departure from the club, confirming the news at a press conference held today.
Sarabia concludes his second season with the Alicante-based team. His tenure began with a successful promotion to La Liga in his first year. In his second season, the 45-year-old tactician guided Elche to a 15th-place finish.
The latter part of the season was particularly challenging, with Elche involved in a tense relegation battle alongside several other clubs.
These struggles appear to have impacted Sarabia and his coaching staff.
As mentioned, Sarabia called a press conference on Wednesday, where he confirmed that he will not be continuing at the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero for the 2026/27 season.
“Yesterday, we communicated our intention to the club not to continue,” Sarabia stated. “These have been two wonderful years in which we have achieved historic things.”
