Barcelona to Temporarily Relocate from Camp Nou Again Next Year
La Liga champions Barcelona are preparing to temporarily leave their home ground, Spotify Camp Nou, again next year. Blaugrana treasurer and economic vice-president Ferran Olive recently shared these plans.
The team only recently returned to Camp Nou. The stadium closed for much-needed renovations in the summer of 2023, with an initial return date set for late 2024. However, unexpected delays pushed this return to November of last year.
Now, Barcelona will have to temporarily say goodbye to Camp Nou once more. According to The Athletic, the stadium's roof construction requires materials to be placed on the pitch. This means the team must vacate the ground for the first half of next season. Ferran Olive announced that Hansi Flick and his squad are expected to depart, with a return anticipated in January 2028.
