Spain Star Pedro Porro Withdraws from Nations League Squad Due to Injury
The Spanish national team's coaching staff faced a personnel challenge on Saturday with confirmation that Pedro Porro is out of La Roja's latest squad.
Porro was a key player in Spain's World Cup victory over the summer. He formed a strong partnership with Lamine Yamal on the right flank, scoring two goals in six starts during the tournament.
His inclusion in the squad for the September international break, which includes matches against England, Croatia (twice), and Czechia, was expected. However, the team's first-choice right-back will now miss out.
A statement from the Spanish national team confirmed:
"Spanish international Pedro Porro has been ruled out of the squad announced by Luis de la Fuente for the UEFA Nations League after suffering an injury in the match between Tottenham Hotspur FC and Aston Villa FC on Saturday, September 19.
The squad currently comprises 25 footballers."
